    Scope

The areas of Wireless, Mobile and Sensor Networks have seen an exponential growth in the last few years. Wireless LANs have become a house-hold word. Wireless Networks are increasingly becoming the only solution to getting broadband connectivity in rural and semi rural areas. Developing countries such as India and China are realizing how these networks can significantly contribute towards their economic growth. We are also witnessing the emergence of Public Internet Access Points (Wi-Fi Hot-Spots), wireless Internet Service Providers and technologies such as Wireless Wide Area Networks and Broadband wireless networks. In addition, sensor networks are envisioned to emerge as a key tool for applications in various facets of human endeavor. Applications of sensor networks range from battlefield monitoring to habitat and seismic activity monitoring. We believe that the theme and focus of this workshop is very timely. The workshop will focus on wireless, mobile and sensor networks and related areas. It will focus on issues ranging from system architecture, protocols, modeling and analysis to economics and market trends. The workshop is intended to bring leading researchers from both academia and industry to present their research and practice in the area. We believe that universities, R&D institutions and companies will greatly benefit from this workshop that aims to bring experts from all over the world to discuss challenging technical issues. We invite you to come and enjoy Singapore, its green and vibrant atmosphere, Its ultra modern infrastructure and exciting night life. We look forward to hosting you for the two day event on the March 5 and March 6 in Singapore. Just after the event, you can take off to attend IEEE Infocom'2004 that is being held in Hong Kong from March 7 to March 11.

    Workshop Details

The workshop dates are March 5 and March 6. On March 5, there will be talks by the invited speakers followed by a panel discussion in the evening. The panel discussion will include some of the invited speakers and experts in Singapore. In addition, there will be a poster session. On March 6, there will be invited talks followed by two half-day tutorials. For program details, please see the web site.

    Poster Session

We are organizing a poster session during the workshop to showcase on-going research projects in local and regional academic and research institutions. The poster session will be an ideal forum for researchers to present their research work to invited speakers and workshop participants.
